Okay. I got invited to a sleep over at a friend's house and I wasss sooooo excited to know 'omg she's got internet and cable!' I was happy bout cable but I can watch cable anytime I want at my brother's, but what got my total attenion was now I could get online as looooong as I want! I was totally awe-struck right now! I've been on allll night! Right now as I'm writing this it's 5:30 in the morning! And yet I'm bit tired! First off, yes I'm excited to have the power to be online forever but I don't think that's the reason I'm up so late er... early. What is your real name, age, location?
- My real name is Perla! (It's spanish for Pearl but please don't call me Pearl, I hate that.) I am now 18! Deh-dehdi-deeeh! I can be found in the middle of nowhere of southern California.

what kind of people annoys you the most?
- Do I really have to make this clear? Self-centered @-h0les, bullies, and ignorant buttheads!!

Who do you admire?
- Hmmm... as an artist? Yuu Watase. But in every day life... I guess that'd be my mom... She works really hard to take care of a big family.

Why are you so bad at spelling?
- Eh? Mi english not so good? Porque? How can that be? English may have been my second language but it's the one I use everyday for many many years! I no longer remember how to speak spanish! (Well I do but it's not so good...) I am now 100% fluent english speaking! Maybe too much, since I have the bad habbit of speaking with a southern accent sometimes... I watch too much hillbilly tv. -__-" I also can't help but speak a british accent... and a cholo accent... once I speak with an accent it's hard to stop... If I'm bad at spelling it's probably because I never paid attention in school... I'm very lazy an easily bored... also I sometimes hurry when typeing and miss some letters or press the wrong ones.

How are you able to draw and still able to have time for schoolwork/work?
- I don't know... I draw when I want to and save school work till it's too late! I'm a procrastinator!

What sports are you into?
- I like soccer the best! But I'm really good at hockey! But I wish I could play basketball good but my aim sucks... so is my ability to hit the ball wit a bat... the most I can do is joggle with one ball... TT^TT waaaaah... I suck...

What's your favorite drawing you ever did? Tell us about it.
- My favorite drawing isn't posted on dA yet... or is it? I think it's 'Ninja buddies'... is it? Hmm... Well I did do one that's a bit bad@ss! but I... don't think that's my fave... maybe it's this new one I'm working on that inspired by ninja buddies... Or... was it... Hmmm... Or was it that old one I did that turned out really nice despite I did it alooooong time ago.... Hmmm... I deffinetly know it's not the one's that one the blue ribbons... Hmmm... When I figure which one I like then I'd tell you when I post it on dA.

How do you make up your poses?
- Hmmm... depends on what comes to mind... Sometimes I start off with drawing the face and that gives me an idea on how this character's personality will suit her/him then I try to come up with a pose that suits her/him just right, then I sketch it to how I want it. But, if I come up with a nice pose that doesn't suit the character, I sketch it out on another peice of paper because I don't want to waste such a good pose. In which sometimes relates to drawing the pose first then drawing a good face to go with it. Plus accesseries, certain clothes, and even enviorement etc.

Are you ever going to try to draw and color traditionally or digital?
- I do draw tradional art! I sketch first sometimes ink and sometimes use colorpencils or very rarely crayons. I tried waterolor but really suck bad at it. Inking too... I get to nervous. As for digital I don't know how yet... Well I know hoe to use Paint but I didn't do those types a pictures in years... Now I do tradional until I learn how to use photoshop and can afford a tablet.

Will you do a trade or collab with me or is that only reserved for close friends?
- I'd love to do a trade wit you! Tho I don't know what a collab is...

How long you've been drawing!
- Hmmmm... Well my earlest memory is when I was in first or second grade... I started doing comic panels when I was 9 and I started drawing anime when I was a sophmore in highschool... I think my art is pretty good for a late bloomer. But I've always devoted myself into putting alot of effort into my art. Hence the "I draw only when I feel like, but I'm too lazy to draw yet my art is awesome even tho I don't draw much and mainly doodle".

Other than music, what encourages you to draw even during an art block?
- Hmm... When I get art blockes, my trying to motivate myself by saying "Get going you lazy bum! You wanna get left behind? Go! Start drawing!" Doesn't really help... And deffinetly not my friends and family trying to persuad me. I don't like beinging rushed or pressured... I usually takes breaks after an art block and get ideas from reading my shojo beat, NewstypeUSA, OtakuUSA magaines or my mangas. But the most important for me is to just wait for an idea to randomly come. That's how it always work! I wait fo my genious to come and try not to depend on anyone else.

Where can I find your manga?
- From me of course! I don't plan to upload my first mini manga online because I'm super embarrassed! The art is crummy because I had to rush to turn it in as my senior project! So the wording's bad too... I had a whole month to do it but because I'm a procrastinator I had only a week to do it and this included no breaks and staying up all night! I was so tired and hoped with all my heart that despite the crapiness I would get a good grade... Which I did! A+ But when I get older and plan to be a professional manga-ka I'll be publishing on Viz midea (I hope!) or at least Tokyo pop or other publications.

Can I post your art on other sites and still credit you?
- Hmm... Not so sure bout that... <:3 Cause no matter what I feel like you're taking something of mine without permission... even if you do give me credit I would still have to approve and see that my art cannot be theft by others.

Do you take comissions?
- Not yet. I don't feel I like deserve it since I don't upload my art on a regular basis. Also know that since I'm a lazy procrastinaor you'll have to wait a long time for it... But I'll try to hurry as much I can.

Can I use your art for forums and so on?
- Uh... well I don't know... I'd be kinda embarrassed if you did.

What medium did you use to draw/ink/color?
- I use a leadpencil to draw. I mostly use 0.07 led but now I use 0.05 for the details. For inking I use a specific pen that has very thin lining when inking, promblem is, it splurts ink when I use it for too long... So I have to wipe off the excess ink form the tip of the pen with a napkin. That's the only pen I use for inking tho sometimes I use my Copic pens I bought at the Anime Expo... I don't like to use them too much because even tho they have very fine lining, they also ink threw to the otherside of the paper. I really can't wait till I get to have my own tablet to do all my inking! It'll be easier without the pressure of permanetly messing it up! I use color pencils to color. I used to use crayons but they were sloppy work. Now I have a box of color pencils of many colors but I always like to use different shades of colors to make it blend and look better.

Do you work as a Pro artist?
- No. Not at all. I wish I was, but I'm still a beginer! My family is higly confident that I will become a high sucessful artist but I myself andvague about future dreams.

What artist inspires you and what are some of your favorite artist on dA?
- Yuu Watase is my main favorite artist. ButI also like some of my fave dA artists. Mainly the one's I like... and many more!
But I love me friend's art too! I mah friends! X3

How long does it take you do draw a picture?
- 2-5 hours. It dosen't matter what mood I'm in. If I'm deeply consintrated in the artwork then I will draw to the sweet end! Because I know that I must finish the drawing as soon as I start it or else I won't wanna feel like it later since I'm lazy. And sad to say I always never finish em cause my drawing juices come at night and I'm not allowed to stay passed midnight drawing anymore. So they don' end up done till I feel like working on them again... and even so that takes a looooong while...

Where did you learn drawing? Is it self-taught or did you go to art college?
- I'm self-taught. I've aways love drawing as a young child and I still do. I try not let others influence me that much... mainly because I draw for myself only for my self-satisfaction... tho I'm rarely satisfied... I definetly don't copy off of others! I HATE re-drawing someone else's artwork! I only do my own. And learn on my own! I hate having to depend on other artworks for "practice"!

How do you come up with the ideas for your pictures?
- My ideas come to me naturaly and randomly.

- I'm is a gurl! Hooraaaay!

If you were the opposite gender, what do you think you'll be drawing? girls/boys? yuri/yaoi/hentai? Shojo/shonen?
- Hm, if I were a boy I think I'd draw shounen instead of shoujo, and more boys instead of girl. As for the yuri/yaoi/hentai, I'm not sure if I were a guy that I'd be pervy... maybe... since I'm a good girl I try to hold on to my innocence as long as possible.

What's your type of guy/girl?
- Not so sure. I like smart guys, but not nerdy. I like cool guys, but not self-centered one. I like guys who're funny and fun to be with, but not immature ones. I like emo-looking guys, but not those who're actual emo-kid sterio-types and are all gloomy and boring. Hmmm... I'm picky all right.

What do you enjoy drawing most?
- Cute girls! Bishoujo looking girls in shoujo situations. Not too cute like moe or wearing cute frilly things like lolicon, but sweet and innocent with every day problems. But when I draw my guys they end up looking bishounenly cute when I want them to look hot like shoujo guys! I also like drawing my own style which is like a realist manga type. Like the prettiness of shoujo girls with the details that is mainly included in shounen manga.
